Green slip rip off

Just got my rego renewal today.  I had a look on the green slip calculator.  The cheapest quote was $443 for 12 months...

Update - I just received a renewal notice from Shannons for my greenslip.  $426...

bonnevista is from Wollongong......outer metro rates. If he lived in Nowra it would come under country rates, even cheaper.

Thanks Chris, that explains a lot, the annoying thing is that i did go to the greenslip online site, diligently filled in all the boxes then copied down the reference quote number. All 3 companies i called didn't want the referral number stating the site was 'reference only'. Only AAMI tried to add the questionable 'older than 20 years' surcharge, the others knew nothing about it?
