No maybe you had someone that new more about ford engines build yours , ive read that drilling the oil gallery that feeds the dizzy gear can make a big difference ,you might have had loose clearances due to you were racing it , most of the cam manufacturers do not recomend using HV oil pumps for ford small blocks, as for dyno , when they have sorted this issue and ive done at least 1000ks

Love to andy but the tail shaft snapped in half  on the dyno and has made a mess under the car , smashed my magna flow mufflers riped a 1 foot long 1 inch wide gash under the floor , destroyed the rear transmission housing , the car is now at my transmission mechanic , ill be going tomorrow morning to strip the interior so we can repair the rip on the floor , BTW it made 407hp @wheels on the first power run when it snapped.

cpu:
;w  That sucks.   ;K to hear that.  Not meaning to go off topic, you going to put tailshaft straps in when ya done?

68PONY:
Hi cpu a tail shaft loop would not have helped as it snapped in the middle , it was the section on the diff side that did the most of the damage .
As for fitting a tail shaft loop , i basicly have one , there is a plate on convertibles that goes from left to right under where the tail shaft goes into the box where the uni's are which acts as a loop.
cheers chris.
ps. tail shaft loops are more desighned for when uni's fail.
