CPU where are you......
bonnevista:
Yeah, that's right. I gave up on the 'kiddy cars' years ago. If it's not over 2 tons, it's not a real American car.
Steve:
Maybe Bonnevista could make the next Nostalgia drags !
btw i got through to the 3rd round last year ..........i redlighted (actually before i moved the red light came on !)
was beaten by the eventual winner
My car ..........15.3 was my best time .however since then i have actually had the carby tuned, and fitted the hood scoop ,will be at the next nostalgia drags as well
bonnevista:
Been there, done that. I raced at the first nostalgia drags with my '64 Bonneville. Beaten in the second round.
Also raced the ragtop at the Riverina Drag Racing Club's strip at Narraderra.

Yee ha we finaly have some one with a time slip ;4, maybe ill join you this year ausmonza , its just dam hot in december thats all , but it would be nice if a few of us from the club enter , don't mater how fast you are at nostalgia its bracket racing and all about reaction and consistancy. BTW nothing better than taking your car to the track after doing a modification that's where you will know if it has made a difference , when i worked my 351w first time it ran a 13.8 , then we made a carby change took it to the track ,ran a 13.6 then i tricked up the auto stage 2 shift kit and 3500 stall ran 13.2 then i decided to pull of the single plain race manifold off and stuck on a rpm air gap dual plane manifold ran a 12.8 , you can only do so much on a dyno , the real proof is on the track , now the 408 ,now traction will be the issue , but i still can't wait to take it to the track.
cheers chris.
Steve:
LOL i have several time slips from cars over the years ,drag racing is kind of boring ...............long wait then a trip up the strip followed by another long wait :(
Nostalgia drags were great however as there were many many people to talk to between rounds ,shame that spectators do not appear to like the concept as they are thin on the ground :(
I will be back at the next one and YES it is hot at the creek
I would like to see a few more people come up for the day as it could be a club run..................no one really cares whether the car is a 10 sec car or a 20 sec car ..........its all just fun and stops some of the bs (and creates more )...doesnt matter if your car is 2 tonne and powered by a 455 or 800kg and powered by a 4cyl
great for the chev v ford rivalry as well..................and we can even include trans am supra,s as well
