Sin, your engine will be OK on the dyno right now.

I have had 3 new engines in the past 6 years. Two of them had been on the dyno straight after they were built with no problems.

I think sept / oct is a good time of year not to hot not to cold but then again any time is a good time to light the bbq with the boys and suck on a beer :6

thought you werent supposed to take it past 2500rpm or is it ok to let it hit high revs for a few seconds???

When you are bedding in a new (flat tappet) cam, you are supposed to run the engine for 20mins no lower than 2000rpms.

Any engine would survive a dyno run if its put together properly.

hi dave (two89w)i spoke to steve today to get the car  tuned on the dyno is $100 per hour.
