I'm thinking you need another car so this can be your show car and you can get out on some runs.....and breakdown like the rest of us.......(hubbys radiator hose on the Pie Run)......keep up the good work its a beautiful car and an exciting post for the rest of us to vicariously rebuild our cars....:bow::bow:

Turned out good Leigh.  The hard work is paying off.  Only 4 months to go with mine.  Hope the paint turns out as good as yours.

Put electric power on the car for the first time in more than a quarter of a century.....most things seem to work, some don't.....
It didn't burn to the ground, which I have to admit is probably a good thing.....  :fantastic:

Just some updates....

had some initial problems wit hthe ignition...the new MSD stuff was dead - no sparks. Stuck a new HEI in it and it burst into life.
Ran the cam in, dropped the oil and filter and we did a bit of a tune up....runs and starts nicely.

I'm still progressing with more electrical bits and pieces ,and I've started to build the centre console....so I think that'll keep me busy for a bit.

First drive.....

Built up a custom centre console to suit the shifter and give a spot for instruments and switches. MDF frame and skinned in MDF. Its over at the guys who restored my dash getting vacuum molded with vinyl.

Been sorting some electrical glitches.....now have all my exterior lights, and the dome light now works.
For info, if you are using an LED globe for the dome light, they only work when fitted one way....who knew?

Added the new repro OER brand side trims....they don't fit as easily, or as well, as the factory trims...but they don't look too bad.

Slowly getting there....
