We will be kicking the weekend off from Uncle Leos servo on the M5 at 9:15am leaving at 9.30 am meeting with the southern guys at Pheasants Nest servo, then cruising down to Albury stopping for lunch at a Maccas,( Yass? so we can meet up with the guys from the ACT ) then cruising into Albury & meeting all the other guys from the other car clubs. Dinner will be a meal held in the Siesta Motel bistro at $12 per head, dinner starts at 6:30pm the bar will be fully staffed and ready for those that picked up a little trail dust throughout the trip.
Raffle tickets, event Tshirts, and event bags will also handed out.
Sat May 18th
There is a planned observation run for the day, the route will be Albury to Mytrelford to Beechworth to Albury 175.3 km, 3 hours via Happy Valley Mountain pass. The details for the cruise will be handed to each driver in sheet form on the day. To start the run we will assemble at the front office at 9:30am for a quick briefing on the days event's, then you will receive your run sheets, the rest is up to you. There should be plenty of time to grab some lunch along the way as this is not a race and we will be at Beachworth around lunchtime. If the event goes to plan we should arrive back at the Siesta Motel around 3:30 to 4:00pm. On our return we will have time to wash the bugs of the cars so they are looking there best for the show on Sunday. We are then booked in at the wool shed for dinner, the wool shed courtesy bus will start ferrying us to the venue from 7:00pm.
Sun May 19th
We have planed the QEII Square Car Show from 8:30am to 12:30pm. The entry fee is a Gold coin donation, the funds will go to the Albury Rural Fire Service who will have some of there equipment on display. Micks Us Muscle Cars has supplied the trophy's for this event and they will be for categories: Best, FORD, MOPAR, CHEVROLET, NON BIG 3 and Best of Show.
Most of us Sydney guys will check out early before the planed 9:00am QEII Square car show, this way after we wrap up the car show we can all head home as a group. QEII Square is the park smack in the middle of Albury's main street, a prime spot for the show and the ladies will have some time for some last minute shopping.
This is a big weekend lots of fun to be had and a lot of work has gone in to the planning would be nice to see a little more club support for this one please!.
Just bumping this one up we still have rooms available Call Joe 0412296615
