I would just like to thank all the members that made an effort to come along to AAD it was pleasant while the breeze was there & I must thank Owen for bringing his little stove along & cooking hot dogs for all the members. Congratulations to the Mustang club for another fabulous day.

-
Have to add that we ended up with about 16 cars cruising from the airport from the AMCCA, Mustang, as well as Camaro-Firebird clubs. As GT Sally mentioned, we were given a full Police escort by Steve to the event by a new harley davidson road king, painted up in full california highway patrol colours and signage, as well as all the sirens and gadgets, awesome! Had great fun watching the looks from people including a real police bike going the other way on the bradfield.
Hope to do it again next year.
P.S. Late breaking news, Joe did not get a trophy and a royal commission will now be called to determine how this could have happened,
-
That was cool getting the escort....should utilize his services when you want to make a grand entrance to future events......
-
Hey Les, Joe admitted to me he didn't know how he got it last year, so maybe there was a judge close by listening in to our conversation.
Thanks again Les for organising that cruise!
-
Spot on bee , was a awsome run ,excellent turnout at the airport, can't get much better than that , andy (69dirtyrat) got some shots.
cheers chris.
ps I was a very good boy on the way......................i had a hwy patrol bike 20 metres in front of me all the way there!

I agree!! Steve is also a "top bloke". Did he win the "MR Most Popular Award"? Certainly was a great hit with the kids & WOMEN I noticed, had to be the most photographed there without a doubt, gud-onya Steve.
I got in very early with my foto, but I wasn't the first!!!

That was some turnout today at the All American Day. The car numbers were well up on last year (over 600 by my count) and the crowd of people checking out the cars was far bigger than usual. Well done to the the Mustang Owners Club of Australia NSW for a great event. LINK to over 560 pics from today: http://www.carsofaustralia.com.au/events_gallery.php?details=471

If I recall it correctly the red machine was up the front with Les leading the pack!!
The only reason I was towards the back their is so that those big blocks didnt get lost.... they had to slow down for all the corners (like any big block, just built for a straight line:zip:) while the mustangs were flying around :gotya:
-
Joe, they'rd be heaps of photos out there with Mustangs in the rear view mirror.

I see the Ford GM battle is running well. All intended in good humour I'm sure. Remember those smilies lads.
The bike escort would have been fun. Next time that happens someone will have to get it on video.
Any pics of the day, by all means send them through and we will get them into the website gallery.
