Well, the wait is finally over. I can now reveal to everyone the information pertaining to the important announcements that I've wanted to make, but have been unable to until this time...
The first one, you will find absolutely UNDERwhelming - and it is... I've actually paid someone else to work on my car. Like I said, underwhelming. However, pretty much nobody works on my car, other than me. But, I need the soft lines on my brakes changed and I couldn't crack the threads and didn't want to break anything, so I went to the local brake and clutch joint (Figtree Clutch and Brake). Then, after putting up with a leaking pinion seal on the diff for the last 14 years, I went to Diff Technics at Kogarah to have that fixed. It wasn't just the seal, there was a little 'end float' that needed to be addressed too.
The second announcement is a little more significant. Some of you would know, that I installed a reconditioned engine in my ragtop a few years ago. That few years ago, was actually Christmas Day, 2010 when the engine took it's maiden voyage in the barge. Well, today, that engine ticked over 100,000 (trouble free) miles. All I've virtually done is change the oil and filter. It's only on it's 3rd set of spark plugs. The only (minor) problem I've had is when the module in the HEI stopped at 80,000. I always carry a spare..
So, there you have it. That's my news. Pretty exciting - NOT...

Holy crap!.....You got me worried there for a while bonnevista. I was expecting something along the lines like: "Guess what?.....I have traded the barge for a 2017 Mustang convertible, because I am sick of Pontiacs.....or "Guess what?.....I have put a big block Chev in the barge, because I am sick of Pontiacs..... :rol: :rol: :rol: :rol:
I am ducking for cover now.... :bolt:... :bats:

It's now 101,000 miles. That didn't take very long...
