Title: Stroker kit for 289.
Post by: 1MSTNG on December 28, 2007, 01:36:32 PM
Just wondering if any of you Ford lovers have had any experience in stroking a 289 to 347. My 289 is a sweet motor but I would like some more grunt, so, is stroking the 289 to 347 the;F and do you know anyone who is reliable to do this work or should I look for a good 351 Windsor.

well going the 347 will be a step up but if you really want the torque then go a 351w stroker you can then go over 400 cubes
cheers chris

Hey Hev,

Will that be on a chassis dyno installed, or an engine dyno?  Either way, when are you back on the road?

are clevo heads still an option or are alloy heads the way to go.Just seems the old type Boss set up was good for 289s.
