Re: American Muscle Cars on the Murray Weekend - Friday 15 May to Sunday 17/Monday 18 May 2020
Just a reminder to put your leave forms in at work and/or to book your rooms at Quality Resort Siesta for the 10th anniversary of this awesome weekend away.
We leave Sydney on the morning of Friday 15 May and return home either Sunday 17 May or Monday 18 May depending if you wish to stay an extra night.
All you have to do is call 02 6025 4555 to book your room. Make mention that you are a member of the AMCCA and a discounted rate will apply.

Hope all our members are safe & healthy out there.... :hi:
Just information for anyone who has booked at the Siesta for this event - I called yesterday to cancel my booking for May (assumed they would be aware, but did it as a courtesy to them) and I was told that all our bookings for that weekend had already been "group cancelled", so there is no need for people to call to do the same.
HOWEVER - I also asked if it was possible to be re-booked automatically once a new date has been set, and I was told that they would indeed do this for us. If you wish to do the same I would suggest you probably call them and request the same.

Hi All,
Sorry Garth,it was me that cancelled the hotel, anyone who paid will be refunded. The other 2 clubs have also been advised.
The committee had an emergency meeting last weekend an it was decided in the best interest of the club that we should cancel this event.
We are hoping to run it late September/October.
Steve Jones the manager of the hotel did mention that the local council would not let crowds gather in the streets at this stage and that other clubs had also cancelled who had events around this time.
Regards Felix

:thumb: No problem at all Felix !!!!
You probably saved the Siesta from being bombarded with calls, and I only mentioned it to let people know that they did not need to stress over calling asap.
All the best :leaving:
