Hi All :hi:
Just a reminder that the American Muscle Cars on the Murray weekend will be held the weekend after Mother's Day next year.
For those of you who are interested in taking part in this awesome weekend away here are the dates: Friday 13 May to Sunday 15 May 2016 :pepper: :pepper: :pepper:
Steve Jones from Quality Resort Siesta Albury (Phone: 6025 4555) has set aside 40 rooms for this event. Steve invests a great deal of time and effort organising the weekend so let's give back by outdoing the Victorian's.
We will be inviting other NSW American muscle car clubs and hopefully the Canberra Corvette Club will be able to attend. As per previous years we will be hosting the event with the 60s American Muscle Car Club Victoria.
As per usual keep an eye on the forum and we'll keep you posted along the way.
In the meantime :burnout: :burnout: :burnout:

Hey Everyone its great to see some of us have booked , but it would be great get a whole lot more of going so if you have any questions or need some help to book please contact myself or the other exectutive committee members . It would be great to have more of us than the Victorian Club. Thanks Glenn
-
It should be great!

I have just booked my room :burnout:

I see the challenge has been laid down already to us Mexicans, for the uninitiated or virgins to this great event that haven't been before, this is like the State of Origin that you are so accustomed too but its for American Muscle Cars. Ask your fellow club members who have been before, they will tell you that it's possibly the best run of the year. The Canberra Corvette Club have indicated they will be coming back again (unfortunately they couldn't make it last year).
So fellow American Car enthusiasts get those backsides into gear and book your room at the Siesta Resort but make sure when your booking to let them know what your therefore to get the DISCOUNT rates. Looking forward to renewing friendships again.

Hi everyone I am in the process of ordering T-Shirts for Murray 2016. I will be bringing T-Shirts to meeting 31/3/2016 for sizing. They are a smaller make than last year due to being Black. they have advised to go up a size from last year. So if you don't make the meeting and would like a certain size please just let me know by MONDAY 4th APRIL 2016
Thankyou
Jakki

Hi Victoria,

Booked, but way up the back! :toetapping:

Just managed to talk the wife into coming! The compromise is she will be coming in the everyday drive. While I drive my car will book a room tomorrow. Is anyone taking kids? As mine will be coming
-
Woo hoo! That's awesome - a second honeymoon :pepper: :pepper: :pepper:
We took our daily drive last year (not the same but had no choice) and it was still great fun.
Yeah, people do bring their kids so they'll be fine.
So glad you can join us.
Cheers,
Ness :thumb:

Michelle is taking the daily I am driving the Buick she said that there was no way she would travel all that way in the Buick. So 2 cars or no family lol

Michelle is taking the daily I am driving the Buick she said that there was no way she would travel all that way in the Buick. So 2 cars or no family lol
I have to ask, what's wrong with travelling in the Buick?
-
Great news Dennis... but come on, you"re newly married - just TELL her she is going in the Buick ...... :rol: Yep, I wouldn't tell Brenda that either...
Sounds like we are going to have a great weekend with all these wonderful people coming!!!
-
In my eyes and the boys eyes nothing is wrong with the Buick, but Michelle just refuses to travel all those hrs in her. Sometimes u just have to compromise and as I got it into the wedding photos I am the winner in this deal ha ha

Hi everyone 5 more sleeps and we are off to Albury, really looking forward to a great weekend see you on the road Glenn

Hi everybody, As we are living in Goulburn now, what time do you think you will be going past Goulburn so we are able to join up with all of you. We are looking forward to the weekend as well. Cheers.

Howdy! :hi:
We look forward to you joining us :pepper: :pepper: :pepper:
We'll be leaving Pheasant's Nest at about 9.15am/9.30am so we'll probably get to Goulburn at about 11.00am/11.30am???
I could be completely wrong here but whereis.com states 1hr 12mins from Pheasant's Nest to Goulburn.
:thank:

Well, what an incredible weekend :pepper: :pepper: :pepper:
Thank you to those members who could join us. It was great to see some new faces on board :exactly:
We are a fortunate bunch to know each other and experience such events as this - memories that will last a lifetime shared together :thumb:
Already looking forward to next year which I'm thinking will be a four-day event so we have some more quality time together and get in a decent photo shoot
:thank: to everyone involved especially Steve Jones from Siesta Quality Resort - what a legend!
See you all real soon,
Ness :thumb:

:she: OMG what a SENSATIONAL weekend!!! Thankyou to everyone who attended, you made it the awesome weekend it was!
:thank: :thank: :thank: to Jakki, Vanessa & Glenn for the organisation, shirts, raffle prizes & trophies. :thank: to Steve & staff for their hospitality & Sat entertainment, & Andy & Alan for their photographic wizardry (but no thanks to 10pm carpark closures...).
And finally, and importantly, thanks to all we travelled down & back safely with. We travelled over 1200km this weekend without incident. We have driven cars with old technology over long distances this weekend, passed many police cars & sadly saw some serious incidents- but we managed to get there in convoy incident free thanks largely to the sensibility of our fellow club members.
And yes it is on again next year - apparently on the weekend after Mothers Day. Many of us have already booked so pleas get in early & enjoy the 2017 event
-
Well said Mr Vice President :thank:
-
A short message from a virgin to this event. What a great weekend in fact the best weekend my family has had in a very long time, Michelle is ready to book again for next year and that comes from someone that was not keen to go. Thanks to everyone who did all the work behind the scene bloody awesome for volunteers u deserve more money lol. A special thanks to Garth and the family for being our shadows on the drive down and back u guys and the others in the convoy are the reason we have such a great club. Now my challenge to everyone that missed out start saving this event is the highlight of our club calendar for the year!!!
Ps we are in for a 4 dayer next time
-
Awesome feedback Skipman - :thank: - it was a pleasure having you and your family along for the ride.
We look forward to having you again in 2017!
Regards,
