Good Evening Members :hi:
Yes, it's almost that time again when we head to Albury for our Muscle Cars on the Murray weekend. This year we will be leaving Sydney on Friday 19 May and returning either Sunday 21 or Monday 22 May (depending upon your availability). An itinerary will be issued very soon once details confirmed.
For those of you who are interested in taking part in this fantastic weekend, all you need to do is book your accommodation with Quality Resort Siesta (Phone: 6025 4555) and mention you are with the AMCCA.
If you have booked your accommodation, this is what we need from you:
1. the number of people coming from your family
2. your t-shirt size/s
We are the process of finalising the artwork for the t-shirts and will be ordering them over the next few weeks.
We look forward to hearing from you at your very earliest convenience. Thank you!
Kind regards
Vanessa Goldstein
AMCCA Secretary (on behalf of the AMCCA Committee)

Come on guys this is a great weekend. last year was my families first year my wife is really not into the car thing but by check out time last year Michelle was nagging me to make sure I booked for this year. If this is not an endorsement I don't know what is, the committee and Steve the owner of the motel and the staff put A lot of time and effort into this weekend. support there efforts and come along to one of the best events the Amcca organise each year. The more cars in the convoy going there and back the more fun it is isn't this why we have these cars.

Awesome advertising!!!! :way:
But I cant help but ask if anyone knows when Valiant Chargers were built in the US.... :zip: It does look good though... :bolt:
-
Isn't there moves afoot to turn Australia into the 53rd state of the USA, just further proof it is happening lol. Great looking poster, counting the days
-
:rain: :itsnotfair: For those who have not yet done so, check the weather for the weekend... predicted a month of rain in the next 4 days..... Please pack appropriately, esp for the Saturday run...
-
luckily Im taking the Suburban cause the Corvette would end up being a Corvette! (get it.... war boat Corvette)

 or :kickass: :leaving:

After seeing the weather forecast I have been working on the Velcro bucket/pants for my windscreen leak. Don't think the towel will cut it for this length of trip.
Mr Vice President are we meeting at the same spot as last year and if so what time are u thinking
-
I'm going to try temporarily sealing the targa tops with electrical tape.
Fingers crossed.
Either way we gonna get wet.
-
I'm trying gaffa tape here's hoping
-
Safe travels to all members travelling to Albury
-
Tks Joe!!!
:rain: Oh come on boys & girls... electrical tape & buckets & towels.... PLEASE... with the weather forecast Im just gonna drive with the waterproof car cover on with eye holes cut out... :rol:
But on the upside..... just checked & discovered that the wipers DO work... well, they do in the garage :fantastic:
-
I like the rain cover idea but I prefer the sound of a v8 over the flapping of a cover lol car ready almost packed I'm excited
Rain rain go away come back another day

Hi there! :hi:
Unfortunately we are having trouble posting photos via the forum :sorry: but in the meantime you can go to our Facebook page.
Of course our photographer Andy is capturing the weekend in detail, so you can check out his pics in the photo gallery when they're ready.
Regards and thanks
Ness for the Committee :thumb:
PS: you're missing out on a fabulous weekend away - hopefully the photos will make you wanna come next year :pepper:
-
What a SENSATIONAL weekend so far!! Dinner Fri & Sat was great & the run yesterday (Sat) was spectacular, with an observation run & great roads. Show & shine this morning in town. Cars fr our club, from Griffith & from Albury area & of course Melbourne - about 45 cars in total. Those who are unable to be here are missing a great wend. :she: you should really try to get here next year - we have just booked for 2018... :pepper:
-
We just got back from another fantastic weekend in Albury (and back to reality unfortunately )
It was yet another successful weekend filled with great conversation and story telling, cruising, eating, laughing, oh and eating :rol:
Thank you to all who came along for the ride - it's the people that make the weekend such fun, creating friendships along the way :exactly:
Most of us have already rebooked for next year - the dates will be Friday 18 May to Sunday 20 May 2018 (you can leave on the Monday if you wish).
A very special thank you goes out to Steve Jones from Quality Resort Siesta who organised another enjoyable weekend including the observation run on Saturday. Steve's staff did a wonderful job looking after us in every possible way - you are a credit to your establishment.
Looking forward to seeing the pics and reliving wonderful memories
Until next year...

Hi everyone, I'd just like to say THANKYOU, Jakki and I have had the BEST weekend, Great Road Trip, Great Weather, Great Food, and The Best Friends , this was my last one as President but my room is already booked for next year and I just can't wait......
Glenn and Jakki

:thank: Just a footnote to the above - a HUGE thankyou to everyone from this Club (and several from the 60's AMCC & the Griffith folk) for the warmth & kindness you all showed to my mum & dad this weekend. Dad had a birthday he will NEVER forget and they were in tears on Mon nite telling us about the time they had and how welcome they felt.
It's the little things like this that really MAKE a Club - not the politics & notoriety shown within other Clubs. We will be forever grateful to all of you for welcoming them (just don't blame me when they come back... :thud:) This Club's members have hearts bigger than the cars they represent... THANK YOU :exactly:
-
Your parents are beautiful people Garth, and we welcome them back next year with open arms
Ness :thumb:
-
To see your parents catch us on Monday, beep and overtake us on their way to Oberon wow no driving miss daisy there! Hope they come next year they are our kind of people
-
After such a great weekend, then the recovery of Luke's life long friend Sherman. Big thanks goes to Steve for that, I got a phone call this morning from the Cancer Council in Wagga Wagga saying I had won first price in the raffle! So some of you boys got a photo with the lovely ticket seller re Steves niece but I won the big screen telly. Now that just topped of a great weekend
-
That is fantastic Dennis - it was definitely your weekend :way: :pepper: :pepper: :pepper:
-
Sorry to tag onto last year's event but just checking we are doing Albury again this year? Only asking as several people already booked from last year on the wend Steve nominated for 2018 & the Christmas in July is being advertised and that falls after the Albury date. Cheers
-
Yes, Mark and I were talking about Albury this afternoon as we have booked rooms (like you have), and Archie is booked for his accommodation.
A reply from the committee would be great so we can get our lives organised.
I'm also happy to prepare a poster for our website and forum.
:thank:
Ness
-
Hi all yes we will be doing the Albury trip again as I am one of those that booked last year we briefly discussed at the last committee meeting and put the organising off till we all got over the silly season. It will be top of the agenda at the next meeting as I realise this is not a small event to organise. So we'll be calling in a little direction from the previous committee if that's ok thanks all
-
:thank: Dennis - of course happy to assist with the organising.
Ness
