Sorry for the delay with the itinerary but this is what we have planned so far if there are any changes I will up date this post as we go.
Fri May 17th
We will be kicking the weekend off from Uncle Leos servo on the M5 at 9:15am leaving at 9.30 am meeting with the southern guys at Pheasants Nest servo, then cruising down to Albury stopping for lunch at a Maccas,( Yass? so we can meet up with the guys from the ACT ) then cruising into Albury & meeting all the other guys from the other car clubs. Dinner will be a meal held in the Siesta Motel bistro at $12 per head, dinner starts at 6:30pm the bar will be fully staffed and ready for those that picked up a little trail dust throughout the trip.
Raffle tickets, event Tshirts, and event bags will also handed out.
Sat May 18th
There is a planned observation run for the day, the route will be Albury to Mytrelford to Beechworth to Albury 175.3 km, 3 hours via Happy Valley Mountain pass. The details for the cruise will be handed to each driver in sheet form on the day. To start the run we will assemble at the front office at 9:30am for a quick briefing on the days event's, then you will receive your run sheets, the rest is up to you. There should be plenty of time to grab some lunch along the way as this is not a race and we will be at Beachworth around lunchtime. If the event goes to plan we should arrive back at the Siesta Motel around 3:30 to 4:00pm. On our return we will have time to wash the bugs of the cars so they are looking there best for the show on Sunday. We are then booked in at the wool shed for dinner, the wool shed courtesy bus will start ferrying us to the venue from 6:00pm.
Sun May 19th
We have planed the QEII Square Car Show from 8:30am to 12:30pm. The entry fee is a Gold coin donation, the funds will go to the Albury Rural Fire Service who will have some of there equipment on display. Micks Us Muscle Cars has supplied the trophy's for this event and they will be for categories: Best, FORD, MOPAR, CHEVROLET, NON BIG 3 and Best of Show.
Most of us Sydney guys will check out early before the planed 8:30am QEII Square car show, this way after we wrap up the car show we can all head home as a group. QEII Square is the park smack in the middle of Albury's main street, a prime spot for the show and the ladies will have some time for some last minute shopping.
This is a big weekend lots of fun to be had and a lot of work has gone in to the planning would be nice to see a little more club support for this one please!.

Got my first ride in a convertible thanks to Dave, But no, Joe i'm not quiet a Pontiac convert just yet!
Mick & Yvette, Joe & Leslee. You guys should be very proud of yourselves for getting this event up & running.

Well, no "Charger" this weekend, couldn't get the damn thing to fire on all eight Friday morning, after having it out several times earlier in the week. I didn't have time to investigate fully so jumped in with Mark from the Melbourne 60's club, and travelled up in the '02 Mustang. Not a bad way to travel! That thing hammers.
Another excellent weekend. Great to see all the Sydneysiders and Canberrans again. Look forward to next year.
Melbourne club photos here: http://60samcc.com/US_albury13.htm (http://60samcc.com/US_albury13.htm)
See you all again, cheers, Steve

Great pics Steve.

What a great event this one is,as it is just a great way to meet so many "like minded"new friends, see some awesome new cars and drive some of the nicest country roads in OZ all in a classic American Musclecar.AWESOME!!!!
Hope everyone that came enjoyed the experience and on behalf of the AMCCA I say THANKS for supporting the event, I am sure that you would all join with me in also saying THANKS to all those that put in the "Hard Yards"to make it the smooth running fun event that it turned out to be.
THEY ARE:
Joe Johnson and family. AMCCA
Mark Ray. 60's American Muscle car Club
Chris Smith. Canberra Representitive.
Steve Jones. Siesta motor inn.
Shannon's Insurance.
And my wife Yvette for all her effort........
I made it clear last year that I would make it my personal mission to bring more Sydneysiders to this event and although I would of loved to have seen a few more,I guess we had double what we had last year so lets build on that for next years event and double this years numbers to outnumber those "Mexicans" from down south.
We have already got some great new ideas for next years event so "Pass the Word Around"as American Musclecars on the Murray in May 2014 is a MUST DO!!!!!
Cheers. Mick......

We agree with Mick. This has been our third Albury trip and just getting better. It has all been said before but
thanks to all who made it a great weekend. Definitely in for next year as it is probably the best event of the year
AMCCA has on the calendar especially for those who like a good run and great company. We all made it down and
back in our old cars without any dramas other than a flat tyre. Pretty good considering there age.
Nikki @ Stuart.

Hi Y'all from Arizona
looks as though you had a great weekend in Albury . Like to have been there , even though it looked a bit cold . Daily temps over here are high 30's (lovin it) . We're leaving on Sunday & stopping in Hawaii on the way home .
** Just for Leslee , walking through Safeway carpark & spotted a BRIGHT Lime Green 71 Duster 408 , took pictures but I'm not smart enough to post them , we'll show you when we get back .
