Title: RUST!
Post by: 69Mach1 on March 05, 2013, 01:23:41 PM
G'Day All,

Thanks for the "warm" welcome to the club last Wednesday night....I felt very special knowing how much you guys love Mustangs.

Anyhow I recently discovered a potentially big problem with my Mach 1 being rust in the floor and into the torque box area, both Driver and Passenger sides.

Looking for suggestions on someone who might be able to fix this.  Obviously someone who knows what they are doing but also someone who can give me a reasonable estiamte on how much it might cost.

Thanks

Rob

Hi Rob.....that will buff out.
Seriously, I have seen worse. If you have patience I can fix it for you....and rebuild your engine while you wait...(just kidding).

Thanks for the reply.  Patience is not a problem, it's getting the job done right for the right price.

I've had one "mustang" guy look at it and he was not willing to put a price on it, saying "exploratory surgery is required". I mean, sure, I understand the unexpected can happen and I'm fine with paying extra so long as its justified.  But I don't have a blank cheque to hand over so Im looking for someone with some balls prepared to quote it or at least give me a ballpark price.

Car is on the road, so I can bring it round for a look....????
