From what their saying it's going to be a big day, plenty of things happening especially for the kids. We are hoping to have a display there, hopefully we get enough interest so we can have a great display of cars from the club.

We're keen too. I grew up a little bit in the shire. My family migrated to Australia in January 1969, when I was a whipper snapper and after a week at the "Peoples Palace" in Darlinghurst we headed to the shire and moved into a house in Judd st. Walking distance to the beech...... awesome. Dad bought a Capri V6, 4 speed, Super Roo, Red with Black stripes, bonnet clips and mags. He was cool until one day we went to the cliffs at Wattamolla and he locked the keys in the boot .............. while I went missing. Ma finally caught up with me at the edge of the cliff. I was contemplating jumping. Because I was unaccompanied and couldn't swim. Luckily I d over heard some one talking about sharks up the river so I guess I was just spectating.

Money paid to AMCCA prior to 14th September will preregister your vehicle and you get a T Shirt.
You are welcome to turn up on the day with the Club- cost is the same - just no T Shirt.

Hello Everyone,

I've spoken with Dave Hayes regarding this event and the following information needs to get out to anyone considering attending this event with the Club

1. Only preregistered vehicles that name the American Muscle Car Club can park with the Club's display - there will be no spare spots (I have told them between 20 and 30 cars will be attending but they will allocate spots depending on preregistration)- you can attend without preregistering but will be parked with other display vehicles

2. There is no cut off date to preregister

3.To preregister they have to have a form signed by you - you can scan and send your form direct to Dave Hayes (haye1dav@police.nsw.gov.au) and mention the Club on the form - fax is okay (9542 0854 Fax) - you can pay your money on the day (only cash accepted on the day) or direct deposit prior (Direct Deposit to Police Credit Union BSB 815000 A/C# 267660 and your Name as a Reference).

For those that have paid to the Club - you can send your forms to me (genesgifts@hotmail.com) and I will lodge them and pay from the Clubs Account by direct transfer or if you do it all yourself directly with Sutho I'll refund you the money on the day. (Glen - I've got your form and $ will send that to them today)

Goody bags are for the first 200 preregistered and include a T Shirt - they only have 50 left and are going fast

As explained to me by Dave Hayes - these arrangements are due to high numbers of responses/interest in the event and photos ops are better without gaps - they are looking forward to our Clubs participation in this event .

The following people I have received money from and need a form (listed backwards in order of receipt)
Kerri and Craig Armstrong - done
Glen Bradley-done
Yvette Donaher-done
Mark and Virginia Pearson-done

People registered directly
Warwick and Nan Stevenson

Dave Hayes emailed me to say all preregistrations get a T shirt but only the first 200 get the goody bag too. He's got it all on a spreadsheet so we should be all parked together - I will email him a final list closer to the day just to cross check.

The event regardless, will be held rain, hail or shine. The current forecast does look promising with only the possibility of showers, however, we are not in a position to be able to postpone or cancel the event this far out.

Thank you to everyone that has sent their well wishes. Let's send them above for the best possible weather for "the day that stops the Sutherland Shire!"

Sutherland LAC are ensuring that every patron has fun and takes some type of education away from hosting the event.

The Military Dogs will be performing at 9.15am & 1.30pm, the Air Force hot air balloon will be inflated from around 7am. The Careflight helicopter is scheduled to land during the mock motor vehicle collision, involving NSW Fire & Rescue, NSW Police Force Rescue Unit, St John Ambulance, Careflight, NSW Police Force Crash Investigation Unit.

The official opening ceremony at 10.20am will start the fun off.

All this in the morning will be rocked in the afternoon by arguably AC/DC's best Australian tribute band, Dirty Deeds.

We have amusement rides, stalls, emergency services displays and demonstrations, great variety in food & drinks and much more.

Tickets for our mega raffle with $12,000 worth of prizes will be sold at Sutherland Police Mobile command vehicle for $2 each. The raffle will be drawn at 1.30pm at teh venue and the winner does not have to present or live in Sydney or NSW to win.
