Dear Mr. Pontiac,
I've owned one of your 1972 Grand Ville convertibles for the past 7 years. When I bought it, it had 99,500 original miles on the clock. During the time I've had it, I've driven it every day and put another 105,000 miles on it.
Last week, I noticed a little uneven tyre wear on the front left side. When I jacked it up, I found that the top ball joint had some movement. These top ball joints are the original 1972 pieces installed on the assembly line. I can tell from the fact that they are rivetted in, unlike the replacement which are bolted in.
Am I to understand that after only 37 years and 205,000 miles that these suspension items are already worn out? Is this really good enough?? After all, the car only weighs 2.5 tons and the roads in Australia are only fairly crappy.
As you can tell, I'm not happy!
I demand restitution!!

Neat film clip Joe. The station waggon certainly had a bit of chassis twist when coming off the line.
