Hi John we have discussed going there for a run, only problem is most North runs end up being cancelled due to lack of interest from the members.

Yes. I saw that too Andy, that the Corvette Club are having a display day there at Lost in the 50's American Motor Museum this weekend. I think we should put this place up for a review on the club forum as a possible future run. I know that I would like to go and see this place. :thumb:

Heard about the joint.. can't see it yet.. but would be a good run but try to make it a later met up due to travel  time.. ... as long as folk don't have to met up at some ungodly hr like 8.30 or 9am at Hornsby.. as for some it takes maybe 2 hrs to get there alone.

Hey Joe,you know that needs to be booked with them?

Don't worry about that John I book ahead every AMCCA event that is why it drives me crazy when people just show up without posting on the forum some times the turnout is twice or three times the number of members that I told them to expect when I book.

OK people after speaking to Glenn today we have booked the run for the first open day that did not clash with our calendar which is Saturday Oct 19th.
The Museum only holds 10 open days a year so it is vitally important that we give Glenn confirmed numbers by Friday Oct 4th to secure our booking as the Museum only accommodates a limited number of guests on each open day. Entry to the Museum is $15 per person.
As for the early start the Museum's hours are 9:30am till 2:30pm so an early start is unfortunately unavoidable if we leave Maccas Thornleigh at 9:00am and take in to account the travel time from there we will have four hours to go through the venue and that is without a lunch break. Before I post this event on the Club events page let me know your thoughts on a starting time.

Just wondering if the museum will be open tomorrow with all the fires around the area?
Our thoughts are with the residents and families affected by these tragic events xxx

I was in touch with Glen the other day, as he knows the club has a booking I'm sure he would of contacted us if there was a issue.

What an amazing place... know of nothing to compare it to in Oz.. and the cars.. heck.. we all know 57 chevy's and the odd mopar.. but there was SO much more.. wagons.. 50's cars with electric REAR window (not sides)...   squared off factory steering wheel...continental kits that never looked more at home .. roof lines on same year GM Vehicles that are not shared between the BOP series.. and look great ..
So much stuff.... ...Put this place on your bucket list... :burnout:
