How long is since your seen the 1975 classic ALOHA BOBBY & ROSE in a Big Older theater..?? Probably one of the better car culture movies of our time and featuring a fairly new guy's soundtrack.. some guy called Elton.....with Benny & the Jets... I remember back in the day.... seeing it at several theater.. and when the Benny & the Jets sound track came on.. the audience pumping /stomping into the floor and signing along.. Some may need to watch our blood pressure this time around but....
Entry is covered for Nat's Entrants - otherwise a small theater entry charge is offered as this will be promoted for local Automotive enthusiasts which may help some of them recognize the interest of cars coming to town that weekend. But just to see it on the big screen.. deep sound.. looking forward to it.
Saturday Night is the Neil Diamond "Diamond Forever" event at the Montreal...with Peter Byrne..which is a major show just for entrants.
Sunday afternoon April 1st.. especially if the weather is good.. you will take away another memory for a lifetime.
Accommodation available here and there but at Gundagai also. If your wanting to attend .. Friday to Sunday afternoon.. entry is available but now booked out for the presentations & the town is primarily booked out.

Wish I could tell you about the practice we did in Tumut on Saturday. or something about it but can't.. if it goes off ok.. . it will be VERY memorable for all good Aussie reasons..
This Australia Day marks the Last long weekend before the Tumut Camaro Firebird & US Muscle car Nationals.

As of 25 Jan we have about 22 entry places left.. and have at least 30 people known to be entering but unsure/ unsecured etc.
As entry is open still .. go onto cfusnat com and sign up. Its designed to be more then simply a car show but a chance to tour and explore some of the nicest parts of southeast Australia all within 75 Kms of Tumut.. and the Snowy Mountains.
Best time to get there relaxed is later Thursday if possible. as things start to happen from 11am Friday... that only entrants know off.. and slowly kick on till early Saturday around noon for the drivers briefing.. and goes pretty comfortably but non stop till mid evening Sunday night.

Going home...IF you have time... try heading back to Sydney or Canberra.. take the drive over the Kosciuszko National Park via Talbingo then straight through Cooma.. its a drive that is pure pleasure.. gods own country.. (or plan it as a two night club run in the future.. )
