FYI the post titled Cheating Coppers was deemed inappropriate content for AMCCA forum. Notes to all forum members please refrain from discussing Police HWP tactics,personal attacks on fellow forum members and entering in to Political debate.
This is a car club forum and this sort of thread will not be tolerated.
If you have a problem with this decision please call me or Garry on these numbers

A car club it is not a dictatorship...
What was being discussed is something we all see and discuss on a regular occurance.
What is wrong with or illegal or incorrect in discussing police issues.
To say it wont be tolerated is like it was almost defamatory of wich it wasnt.
If the personal attack,holy maria we are blokes,but anyways if thats the beef why not delete just the post.!!!!!!!!

OK.. discussion censored....... & just when it was making sense to most people ...... :bow:..... ... guess speed camera's, radar use, road safety, where our money could be spent and the like is not a car owners concern & should not be discussed .. ok.... guess it's back to the sports pages guys............:coffee: :zip:

Its terrible seeing censorship like this ,
I would have thought that anything related to a motorist including HWP and government would be reasonable discussion .......is petrol pricing ok to discuss ???
If not................ back to the sports pages thats where the "safe " conversations are .............

I read most of that post before being deleted. Maybe i missed something at the end i dont' know.
But what i had read did not offend me and i couldn't see a problem with what was being discussed by someone who had not posted anything in regards to that topic.
I am not going to say who is right and who is wrong.
What my question is, where do we find the AMCCA rules on what is acceptable content, surely this would have been written and confirmed the day AMCCA started the forum.
Which should be accesible to all club members and forum users.
As you recall i had a post deleted just before xmas for links to another video that had a swear word (don't know as i din't check all links)
I had no problems with this, but feel that the guidelines for acceptable content be made available to all concerned.

Not on my watch they don't.
All rules are listed here and always have been CLICK ME (http://www.americanmusclecarsaustralia.com/forum/faq.php?page=forumrules)
Periodically they get updated as was the case of Rule E in section 2 when certain people started posting inappropriate content on the forum.

Guys I have been watching this thread over the last couple of days wondering where it was going I think todays replies got a bit out of hand I then had a call from Joe who is Super Admin on this forum asking my thoughts after a lengthy discussion I said Joe it is your call & what ever you decide I will back you. As this forum is read by not only club members but non club members. This is just my opinion I don't think it wise to complain about HWY patrols because it only takes someone to know one of them & show them the post & what the AMCCA forum says about them & then see how many times we get pulled up on a cruise. This forum is not run as a dictatorship their are rules in place that must be obeyed about what is posted & the topic, all forums have rules sorry if you do not agree.

I to had a thread deleted because it was deemed inappropriate ...when all it was was a link to a website where a tampon was used to slow down a leak on a 4wd !.thread was titled "how to use a tampon " deleted because NO ONE bothered to check the link !
CPU the rules DO change from time to time
maybe NOT on your watch BUT you are not here 24/7 ..........someone else takes the watch then

I deleted your bloody tampon thread after the thread had been reported by numerous members including the president of your club and I did check the link.
There were pictures of tampons and I dont care what they were being used for. Nobody is posting that sort of crap here.
I'm not a member of your club and am paid to keep the forum in safe order.
I dont care who it is. Rock the boat here and I will can your ass.
Read the rules listed on top of the forum and enjoy the site.

Muzzy 66 ...how about "Today's Arrivals" ... the Sports section has the latest odds on the next 8 boat loads coming across of poor Liberal Voting people of good character who have found though hard work and persistance...thousands of dollars each some place very legal to get tickets.... and just think Muzzy 66.. if Glorious Leader Mr Rudd has his way... ALL THE ETA & CARBON TRADING MONEY will go to help them..... from your petrol and power bills and food tax and red light camera fines and income tax etc etc... will go to these countries where the boat people come from and they will stay there & build Free & Democratic Nations...... and probably IN TIME.. they will accept people from other countries .. like ones that are continually CENSORED.....!:drink:

The threat of banning me because i posted a thread on an unusual way of minimising an oil leak .and after in this thread pointing it out that it was removed
As pointed out the rules on posting here are very grey does not take to much for someone to find something "offensive" in many topic issues ,however for the most part much is allowed
It is sad however when car enthusiasts cannot complain about the way our governments treat us with regards to revenue raising techniques without fear of having a thread removed
In all reality internet censorship is already here because we are already afraid of what may happen if we say the wrong thing :(

.. damn.. I just woke up.. was in the middle of a dream... Dreaming.. .I was on the Nepean river.. under full sail downstream on the SS Monza...... being chased by a bunch of people with laptops.. and can's... they were dressed up to look like part time Police... ..... but every time they swung the can it powered the sail more... it was hopeless... .... and as night fell we sailed on & found dry land & people who cared.... somewhere democratic...Club Med Somolia..... and lived happily ever after......:fantastic:

You know guys I really am sick of this S/ fight over a thread. I started this club with the idea of just having FUN & ENJOYING OUR CARS & it seems to have worked for 3 years + but I am not so sure anymore, maybe what we should be doing is channeling all this effort into positive things in the club. Maybe if we all drove to the speed limit we wouldn't have to worry about where the police were hiding & if you do get caught for speeding who's fault is it anyway as there are plenty of speed signs posted.

Ive spoken via email to Garry regarding this thread,and the way it was handled,and all should be tickety boo.
Open discussion is great & should be encouraged so lets enjoy it and have it be productive and move on.
