Title: Seat belts
Post by: hawkeye92 on January 23, 2007, 03:41:47 PM
I have installed a pair of 1982 CE Corvette seatbelts, which were refurbished by Ssnakoyl in the US, in my car and they do not "lock" when you apply the brakes or pull them out quickly.  Is this normal for this year and model or is something wrong?  They seem pretty dangerous driving around as they are now.

If your looking for seat belts.... Australian (ADR) approved etc.. try Hemco - Victoria..  Ph 03 5334 1213.
They are the old TRW seat belt makers apparently sold out to their employees and been going for years since.

 Hope that helps.

I can vouch for Hemco (http://www.hemco.com.au/) too as they're fitted to my car.  The only thing is my belts are about 10 years old now and need a little help sometimes retracting.
