Title: Is your car ready for Christmas?
Post by: sms777 on December 07, 2010, 11:24:19 PM
Hello boys and girls!
I thought i check in to see how you all travelling.
I only have two Mustangs to fix before Christmas to make sure they can keep up with the real cars like Camaros and Corvettes.
I will not mention Mopars because they all know there is no chance in keeping up with real muscle.
Not to mention our Sherriff with his potato munching, chev burping, mopar farting super ford that can not even make it through the M5 tunnel without his mobile phone on auto dial to 911...:zip:
Anyways.... if you want an oil change or a quick check over before the big break give me a call quick!

Otherwise you all have a great Christmas and drive safe!!!

Cheers, Chris.

Hi Jethro,
It is the tacho drive that makes it difficult to locate one. Those HEI ones are available locally but can you fit one in the Corvette without hitting the firewall?
Other alternative is a Pertronix electronic conversion that simply replaces the points in your original dizzy. Very simple and reliable, i have fitted several of these even in a '59 Cadillac a few days ago.
There are several different levels available from around $150 for a basic kit to $350 for the more powerful one.
You still owe me a visit.....

Cheers, Chris.

Good to hear mate.

Just got my Challenger but it's not running. Whilst I have absolute faith in the guys looking at it, they are very busy and they shut next Wednesday for 3-4 weeks.

I don't want my Chally sitting in the shop for a month, with no access to it. Me wants to be driving it :)
