Hi, I can't seem to find any chrome plating place in Sydney that is willing to deal with car parts. I found one in Silverwater but they just stopped doing it because of the plating procedure they use in not suitable on old car parts. Apparently there's some guy in Quenbeyan near ACT which is bit far. Any advice?

Search thru Chris's tech tips with 'chrome bumpers'. There's over a dozen tips and addresses.

I used a guy in Caringbah/Taren Point he did 2 die cast headlight besel they were heavily pitted I would say they come out 95 percent pretty good for how bad they were, just my opinion. Do a search on the net he comes up. Happy to do car parts

How much did it set you back?
-
It was $450 to fix the pitting and chrome a bit expensive but compared to almost a grand us for comparison ones in the us. My bits were only used for 1 year Model so very difficult to source not knowing much about caddies you might find replacement bits easier and cheaper then my parts. Good luck lots of time on Google Lol

Who ever does it, there's lots o' chrome on a Cadillac. It won't be cheap... :hi:

Yes I hope u only have one or two things to get done

Ah ok makes sense to source smaller parts from the states. Mine is '66 model which is the first year of GM heavily pulling back on chrome on Caddies so it's not too bad but still... we all been there:) I really only need taillights done they're pretty oxidized. I already sent quote request to Chrome Factory I'm curious to see what they come back with. Cheers lads.
