Thanks Joe,
Spoke to steve today, will try and get down next week, will be interesting to see what "ol betsy" got, need new mufflers i feel these ones are a bit choked, so will be good to get back in a few months and see if a few changes makes a difference.
The right up's from 1967 for my car was 320HP(obviously not at the rw) standing 1/4 in 15.2 @ 91 mph.
Gee's at 90 mph i need 2 lanes to keep her in some kind of a straight line.
David.

ill take a stab with those performance figures should have around 180hp at the wheels but diff ratio and weight are important in calculating power output.
also age and wear of the motor.
regards chris.ps steve is going away to europe for 5 weeks next friday so better hurry if you want that dyno run.

Steve said he was going away for a month, was hoping to get there this week but not looking good at the moment, plenty of work on already after the rain, going to Newcastle tomorrow to work(might have a look at the boat that's stuck on the beach).

Hi Batman

What do you guys charge per hour? I want to get my holley (650dp) tuned. Its going ok, but its straight out the box and could do with some fine tuning.

Hi dave the great thing about a dyno tune is the results are instant, first power up the car this tells not just the hp but how lean or rich she's running can also up timing or bring down timing what ever the car likes ,this can be done without putting everything back together every time you make a change and risk losing your licence giving it a hit on the test drives.
ive seen plenty of cars pick up 30 plus hp @ the wheels from bad afr's and not enough or to much timing.
cheers chris.

I was talking to Steve about a dyno day for the Muscle car club, should we make it when the weather warms up a little. It is always good to support our major sponsors because they support our club.
  See Ya Garry;) ;F

Sin, your engine will be OK on the dyno right now.

I have had 3 new engines in the past 6 years. Two of them had been on the dyno straight after they were built with no problems.

When you are bedding in a new (flat tappet) cam, you are supposed to run the engine for 20mins no lower than 2000rpms.

Any engine would survive a dyno run if its put together properly.
