Sunday Sep 29 AMCCA Crossroads Hotel Show-N-Shine
We have been given the opportunity to host our Annual Club Show-n-Shine at the Crossroads Hotel this year. The Crossroads is a huge venue on the corner of the Hume Highway and Camden valley way Casula. Entry to the show will be $10 per car, with all proceeds from the event going to our chosen charity, the Make-A-Wish Foundation Australia. I would like to think that ALL AMCCA members will bring their cars along on the day as a show of pride and support for this great club.
As well as our club display,we will be inviting all our fellow Hot Rod and American Car Clubs to set up their club displays, each club will be asked to nominate a feature car that will be displayed on the grassed areas around the venue.
We have all this and much more planed for the day, Trophy's, Vendors, Bands, start up drag cars. The Hotel will be offering a BBQ in the car park or you can choose to have a sit-down lunch in the bistro.
Park up details will be discussed a little closer to the day when we have confirmed numbers from all the other clubs.

Just bumping this one up as planning of the event is well under way and a response from our club members seems to be lacking. :omg: The AMCCA is the host club and the only response I have received so far is from the other clubs that we have invited on the day come on guys we need your support please give us some idea of numbers we can expect on the day. :banghead:

Looks like I'm coming off nightshift Sun morning, (if my projections are correct for the roster).....so I'll prep the car before the shifts, and take it easy while I'm up there at the show....if you wonder where the buzz saw noises are coming from, it'll be the green Firebird....... :lol:

THIS SUNDAY!! wow things are ramping up now my phone is ringing off its head as the last few days tick down.
Meet Up Time I have told most of the other clubs to role up between 8:00 - 8:30 for the best parking, but because AMCCA members will be parked at the top end of the car park I would suggest we (AMCCA members) should arrive a little earlier say 7:30 - 8:00am.
We hope to see as many AMCCA cars as possible on the day to firmly plant this event on the muscle car clubs calendars for the years to come, so if you have 2 or more cars in the shed please make an effort to have a friend or family member help you to shine them up and get them to the Crossroads for this great day.

The impala has just come off the road with the rear brake shoes and drums completely shot, so can't make it. Wanted to make this one, so bummed about that.
The good news is a 4-wheel disc conversion is on the way!

You will be very lucky if you can even park close to the AMCCA Cars by 9 - 9:30am as we will be parked right at the top of the car park and there will be no access threw the car park that is why it is very important that all AMCCA members arrive around 7:30am Sorry Colin.

We're planning to come in early, but have to leave about 12.30 - 1pm. If that's a problem for parking with the club, just put me anywhere that I can get out with minimum problem for others.

Anyone coming from the Wollongong area,plan is to meet at the start of Picton Road at 6:30am leaving by 6:45am.

Looks like it'll be pointless me trying to get any sleep after I finish work....I'll just load the car and head straight up there so I should be there by 7:30.....I can always sleep later in the day, lol.

Another great amcca day had by all , the weather was the best, lots of cars to look at , so many cameras snapping. Hope to see some great photos on the club website and best of all lots of money raised.

Congratulations to all the AMCCA members that turned up today and added to a fantastic display the weather as said above was great. Here are the official figures we had 180 cars and raised $2441.45c - the $164 for the trophy's so the Make -A- wish foundation will receive $2277.45c

Well what can I say? Today was just a great success all round for both the AMCCA, The Make a Wish Foundation, the Crossroads Hotel and the local car enthusiasts movement in general. After some really trying times over the last few months it was fantastic to see the teamwork, comradery and enthusiasm that this event brought out.No doubt we were blessed with the weather and that just added to the overall success of the day and given the amount of cameras I saw out there today we will surely see some great pics going up soon, especially from the 37 meter high! NSW Firebrigade boys ladder truck!!
Anyway well done to the AMCCA and all those involved in putting together such a great event at our first try and I look forward to working towards an even bigger and better one for 2014!

Fantastic pics great job a fisheye up there would have been interesting on the fire truck
In our local paper today at my door was a very favourable article about our feature event at the crossroads on sunday a Mr Quinlan was extremely pleased with the whole experience and the hundreds of visitors on the site a page 5 article in the liverpool leader and we will do it again next year.well done to all that supported the club :smile:
