Now all you GM big block boys, stop hiding behind your wifes skirts and lets see what you got ..............
or are you chickens! (http://www.splashedpaint.com/AMCC/ClipArt/Chicken01.jpg) ;u I know us Ford boys are all revved up and waiting to go. (http://www.splashedpaint.com/AMCC/ClipArt/Car01.jpg)
I don't wonna hear "yea but this" or "yea but that", just do it. :D
The last one was great, everyone had a ball.
First 20 cars are guaranteed with a reserve of 5 cars if time permits. And yes, for the chickens, you can come and watch.
If you like the smell of petrol fumes then this is the event for you.
Addresss is 11A ARNCLIFFE ST, ARNCLIFFE
If your in just say so on this post. Garry will also mention this event at the next club meeting.

[/i]
Cheers Chris
PS
The normal cost for a dyno day like this is $65 but for our club the cost is $45. You also get a copy of your dyno sheet, this is a good way to see how your car is running. eg rich or lean mixtures.
This was a great day last year so put your name down early & at only $45 this is the cheapest dyno test you will get on your car ;7. Really it is worth turning up even if you are not testing your car because I am sure you will learn something.

Hee hee hee I'm in with Grin. I want to see what the CUDA has in her and Tracey is in too - she wants to see what a tired old K code can pump out. But tell me is there a special oil I can put in to stop the con rod going through the side of the block.

yeah the chevys kicked ass as expected, even if you average 504 & 146 = 325hp still more than the Rustangs highest score!!
Now wait for all the excuses.......... yeah but this and yeah but that! & he had a supercharged cigarette lighter, he had turbo charged wheel nuts.....;u
Surely one of the two red Rustangs(68 convert or 67 coupe)would have made over 320 at the wheels? ;L

My comment was aimed at drive train loss (theory) For arguments sake heven's car lost around the 34% through his drive train given that (from memory) his engine made 458hp?? on an engine dyno and 309 at the wheels. That really surprises me. However Bumblebee has a 401hp??engine and made 313 hp at the wheels.
How does that work?

Its simple bumblebee's car was tuned to perfection by sr performace steve got every hp possible out of that engine ,hevs car on the other hand was running very lean bordering on dangerous robing power not to mention that fan he runs which is probably robing another 10 hp ,once hev tunes the car with his new carby which was not fitted in time for dyno day it will definatly make more power .

Just a note for the pres. I looked up your HP from new! depending on which package you got, your 305ci had anywhere from 170hp to 230hp Flywheel new! So 146hp rear wheel is actually pretty good!

Why don't you read your second post your wording is very smug ,as you pointed out mine and hevs car and for someone that doesnt even own a muscle car any more you should keep your mouth shut.
ive run the numbers on the track where it really counts you have yet to do that
let me explain something to you , you can't compare a engine hp dyno figure to a wheel hp figure, a engine on a engine dyno only has a set of extrctors bolted to it thus showing true horspower ,when you put that engine in a car you then have a whole lot of factors that can determine the hp at the wheels .
1. exhaust from extractors back can rob hp if right size is not fitted
2 transmision , there is a power loss there and more so in a auto with big converter
3. even the size of diff a 9inch will rob more that a standard 8 inch
4.accesories the more you run the more the loss.
and in hevs case his engine dyno figure was with the holley 750dp and was tuned on the engine dyno with that carb, he has since changed that carby so you cant compare , i personaly think he has now under carbed that engine but hopefully he can go up a few jet sizes and he gets it right
so dave (two89 ) i hope this answers your original question why such a big power loss from engine to wheels for hevs car.
But really why are you so concerned hev loves the way the car drives and is more than happy with the power .
I think you pair should get a room or better still, take this discussion over to the MOCA forum where it belongs.:D
Nah joe this kid has a big chip on his shoulder ,anyway its all been said now, im done ,he can now go back and hide in his cave.

Go the Punto! Completely unfair to have a factory standard car pulling such big numbers and not even an SRT! Luckily it weighs 5,000,000 kg!

SUTPO - If you want a cats back exhaust, I can highly recommend the Corsa system. It's not cheap but there is no drone when the engine kicks in and out of MDS. For a CAI, I got the AFE II. Combine these with a Diablo sport Predator tune and you will absolutely crack 300hp and get the car running high 13sec quarters. Buying an exhaust for a 300C can be a big decison, so if you want to take mine for a spin, you're more than welcome.
We are all keen to see what your car feels like with this exhaust...
Are you coming to the skid pan day ;12;11
Absolutely - I'll be there with bells on! ;12
Do you have bells? You can borrow mine I wont be needing them on that day, as long as you wash them with disinfectant when your through!
