From MuscleVette:
This will be a great Sunday morning cruise up to The Beachcomber Hotel at Toukley.
Meeting at the Northern end of the Brooklyn Bridge near the Ambulance station at 9.45am leaving at 10am. We will then cruise up the freeway & take the Gosford turn off & proceed to drive along the Coast Rd till we get to Toukley where our lunch stop will be.
The Beachcomber Hotel is right on the water where we will be having lunch & the hotel is going to reserve parking for our cars. Our club has never done this run so it is something new for all of us.
If you want to check out their web site it is www.thebeachie.com.au

We'll be going at this stage, as long as it's not raining (mustang doesn't seem to like water at the moment).
Maureen/Luke where at Liverpool are you meeting?
David.

David,
We will be meeting 300 meters WEST of Heathcote Rd WEST BOUND in a breakdown bay...
I guess you would be better meeting us on the M7 ????

Have you measured it correctly? Not with a GPS or the speedo in your car, but with one of the fandangle wheels the surveyers use? I think you should check it! You wouldnt want to be where you shouldnt be!

Won't be making it, too wet, ill be sleeping in i hope.

I wasn't there but I first learnt to water ski out back there in 1966 @15 when our family holiday'd in Gorikan. WHAT A COINCIDENT - 1966?

Hi all. Sorry being so late with the reply.
Yes, I think it's well worth doing this run again. The Hotel doesn't look much out the front but as you can see from the pix, the view was lovely, right on the water. It's a bit run down but the food was good, and it wasn't crowded with people. It would be very nice to sit outside with your lunch if the weather was good. There was plenty of parking on the opposite side of the street too. We went for a bit of a walk to the local shops as well. A very unusual shop that we visited, called Suicide Glam. Boy, we had a few laughs in there. Don't want to tell you much more about this shop, I'll leave it till we do this run again. We only got rain as we were coming back into sydney so all up, we had a great day.
Cheers . DEB. ;v
