If it's on a Sunday.... Hell Yeah!!!
-
Sounds fantastic!
-
Just had a look on WSID's calendar but nothing up about this yet. Will be a good day but I reckon the US cars will have their work cut out with all the V8 Torana's & Capri's that will be entered :)
-
Have now got more info this event will be held on the 13th November & the cost will be about $220 for the day I was speaking to Joseph who puts the day on & he told me you will get plenty of runs if you want to register for it here is the email address judgementday@dayofthedrags.net
Joseph put on day at the drags last year & is quite happy to have our club come along.

G'day, Drewfus here,
Appologies for not having done an intro just yet, and similarly for 'self promoting' as such, but thought I'd just drop a quick line in regards to our 'Judgement Day' track hire we're putting on in Nov, it will be in a similar format as our 'Day of the Drags' events, keeping to the proven and much liked format, the day begins with continuous rounds from the morning to lunch. Following lunch would be eliminations and a Chicago Shootout format. In between rounds, eliminated racers could still compete in grudge racing. This format ensures that all entrants can run as many passes as they can fit in to the day.
This new event is focused on American and Aussie Classic and Muscle cars, and with a laidback atmosphere.
Follow the following link to find out more,
http://www.dayofthedrags.net/judgementday/
Cheers,
Drewfus
Again, appologies for the FNG self promotion, but figuired it might assist with explaining our event.

Hi Guys,
I have been asked to post up the question - Do you think you guys will ever run your own private track day @ WSID ?
Are you still thinking about joining in on the Judgement Day drags in November ?
There seems to be plenty of guys on here with hotted up engines & going by the response you had @ Towradgie on the weekend you should easily be able to get 50 cars to make up a private track day !
Thanks
Scott

Here is one going soon LUVHEv

Hi All, i think it would be a good day to put people's HP where there mouth is, and a great day for social gathering, im sure we could get 50 members together, for a fun day
Cheers,

the Judgement Day is a spin off from The Day Of Drags which was a pretty good day and is growing in numbers each event and expect that it will get better every time. The Judment day and DOTD have a year of manufacture cutoff so the cars are from a similar period, DOTD format was heads up qualifying before lunch then dial in your time eliminations after, then if your eliminated you can keep running in another group. I will going to the Nostalgias latter this and probably a starter for this if the dates are not too close. all great fun days

WHEN.......I get my car back I will be up for it!
But before that I need to get it up on a dyno and see what my carby and timing is doing! anyone have any suggestions where I can go! someone whom has an idea on rotchesters!

Now....There is your problem. Rochester on a Ford.
What were you thinking?
I can guarantee it would perform better with a Holley 700 or 750 and i could tune it for you in ten minutes without going near a dyno.
Cheers, Chris.

Judgement day is on Saturday the 13th of November & I spoke to the lady who runs the Nostalgia's & she said she is still waiting to get a confirmation from WSID but the original date they were given a few months ago was Sunday the 21st November. Only 1 week apart for both event which is a PITA, would be good if these are going to stay as annular events if they could spread them a bit further apart.
I know a few guys who are keen to get out to the track when they dont have to put up with the normal street meet crap, myself included.
Cant beat a Holley for ease :exact:

Do you think if it were a chev it would run better?
Sorry Chris Ive been there and one day it ran OK but the next it had a flat spot, the rottie runs quite nice...so at this stage I will stick to checking my AFR's are OK.
Tell you what, In the near future I will get another manifold and a holley, if you can get it to run smooth I will pay you, if you cant ............:hangloose:

The Corvette LeadFoot Challenge at Wakefield is on on the Saturday 13th which Im going to, so I'm not sure I'll make it on the 14th? I might have to come down to watch during the day?
-
Is the Leadfoot Challenge still on 69DR? I had heard that maybe they didn't get the numbers
-
I assume so, the last response on the thread on the the corvette site was Bob saying they got enough to go ahead!
-
Yes the Pres from the Vette club emailed me saying they got the #'s required.
:seeya: Garry :hangloose:

Trying to buy a second truck at the moment.

Dam just realised that, anyway we will play it by ear , if we can't get 15-20 cars for F1 display it won't happen anyway.
I'm going to bring up the F1 display at our next club meeting and see what the responce is.

What did the gas chamber end up running ?
That white Dodge with GTS-340 plates looks & sounds like such a sleeper but I remember him at the last Nostalgia's running constant 11.00's in it, fast car.

Gas Chamber ended up running on 7 cylinders!!
It was high 13's. Problems with the injection...trying different pills.
Just needs some more track time to sort it out.
That dodge is really nice...only the cage gives it away.
He was pitted with Tex. They had some beautiful cars there.
