Post by: MuscleVette on July 23, 2007, 08:39:40 PM: Ok guys I have been asked to get 18 convertable GM cars & 18 Convertable fords to do the drivers parade lap at oran Park on the 19th August. If you have never done anything like this before it is a :) day you get to drive one of the V8 super car drivers around the track & some of the grid girls. I have arranged two entry tickets for each car for the Sunday, we will be given special parking for our cars so if you want to go post here or call me A/H on 0403026867. you will not be dissapointed it will be first in best dressed.

Garry is worried if it rains we will let him down;P . This, of course, will not happen! Just a mention, I will be at the begining of Cobbity Rd just off Camden Valley Way between 8 and 8.15am with a couple other Cobra owners so if someone would like to meet us there, that's where we'll be:7

It really goes a long way to being invited to other V8 Supercar races. Which I have already discussed with them for the remainder of the races this year :8

I got to take lowndsy around at the end of the day he had his son with him aswell, what can i say,he is a gentleman we talked all the way around the track and he told me he's next project ,he want's to sqeeze a supercharged 290 boss motor in a xy falcon or in a ford galaxie, well if he goes the galaxy way garry you'll have to send him a membership application form.
As for his third place he himself made the descision to go out in the last race on slicks which cost him the round win but in saying that he was still grinning from ear to ear.
One more thing you can here everything the crowd is yelling the abuse the tributes and we laught our heads off especially at the holden guys who still havn't forgiven him for going to ford .
garry thank you for a great day even the whether couldn't dampen it , my son conor had a good day we got to go to the pits and watch some pit stops he is hoping that bathurst can become a reallity:8

actually i forgot to put new sticker on it was in glove box ,i didn't have a blade to take old one off,trust you to notice dave,yes having a vert does have its advantages if it rains i just put the roof up and when i take lowndsy around for a lap i just take it off lol.:P :P

actually lowndsy told me he walked past some red 69 convertible corvette and it backfired and threw some gunk on his face which left a rash on his face ,honest thats what he told me.

He did mention something to me as well later on but said it must have been something from a Chev or Holden as he always seemed to behind either one of them:P:P.
