Mate ... with respect to USAtoAUS, speaking from an ongoing personal experience with them - consider looking elsewhere.
If you're dead-set on importing from the US consider the following:
Mick & Yvette from http://www.usmusclecars.com.au/. They are members of this forum, and have a solid rep. Also have an actual showroom in Sydney you can pop into and talk face to face if need be.
The boys behind USAtoAUS aren't bad people, and are trustworthy, but the speed at which things progress and their efforts to communicate that process is extremely lacking. It's closing in on 6 months since I paid for my car, and it is yet to arrive. Proceed with caution!

Hi Benji,
With regards to mag wheels, you are allowed to import a vehicle which has mags fitted seeings they are a size that was available in that period. With the springs, Dotars are only concerned when a vehicle has had major suspension, chasis etc changes ie airbag and lowriders.
They have updated there website with a few examples of vehicles which would and would not be approved.

Anything else please do not hesitate to ask.
Cheers Yvette
P.S Thanks for the referral Russ

Hi Benji,
Most of the cars on our site are private classifieds, Micks cars are seperate, we do have a contact in the US but only in a certain area, also Mick only mainly deals in mid 60's early 70's so we do not get much in the way of 50's/early 60's cars sent to us. We do not source cars usually but if we know of someone interested in a particular car we will keep them in mind if something does pass through.
Cheers Yvette
