-
Sadly you cant enter with lap only belts!
There is a somewhat cheap, easy and temporary (if you want) fix to that if you want to go racing and you don't have to hack anything up in your car.
I had the same problem years ago with a car I wanted to race.
-
Sadly you cant enter with lap only belts!
Take up the offer you wont be disapointed
-
Come on Bee...be a daredevil! lUVhEV
-
This should be a fun day.
Bit of everything in the car list...
-
Should be a top day and great mix of cars for sure, spots filling fast, so better pay if you are thinking of coming

Mr Hev may have a solution for the lap belts,a call tomm to confirm the belts are still applicable and we will be there.:way::drool:

Anyone else interested in a good day?

Hey Greg
If you are thinking this is me, sorry to disappoint an old fan. I've been in semi retirement from the wheels up action for a little while. At least till the new donk is complete. You would not believe how hard it is to disguise a small block chev as a small block chev (you know what I mean)
Cheers Terry

Ahh, Yes...I thought it was you Terry... You are the only Terry I know with a 69 Camaro.... and that gets it out.
Well....I hope you sort out the new donk...and get it out soon.
Hope you are bringing it up to Potters! And then to the track later.

Howdy all competitors,
After discussions with WSID about our upcoming track day & hearing their concerns about the number of sub 11 second breaches at our previous drag days, the following is proposed;
BE AWARE that a sub 11.0 second pass on a "private drag day" such as our one on the 17th September 20011 will result in your racing being over for the day......NO IF's BUTS OR MAYBE's
The last private day held by the club had GREAT success (trophies were sponsored :D )with a Street Tyre Shoot out.....although it was not overwhelmingly supported by all day participants, a great number still participated.
So for this event another Street Tyre shoot out is proposed:- Particapation again voluntary;
RULES:
All passes will be on street tyres (no drag radials, slicks etc.) until the lunch break, this time participants can determine what "bracket" to run in.
After lunch participants nominate a bracket.
Depending on the number in each bracket, participants race and each participant with the fastest ET without breaking out above or below their bracket. This continues to the fastest ET within the bracket has been determined.
Same brackets as last time 11.0-11.99,12.0-12.99,13.0-13.99,14.0 & up.
Please start a list of those interested in participating and which bracket, obviously bracket ultimately decided will be done on the day. If enough interest is raised we may be able to sort some kind of sponsors and trophy again.
Regards Con and Garrett
-
Sounds like another great day Garett, thanks for all your efforts we really appreciate these private track days and yours last time was fantastic!!!!:thanks:
-
Thanks I look forward to these events to see and meet new people and cars :-)

A harness should only run you about $150.
Good to have even if you only take your car to the track once a year.
I just had a look on VPW website as they have pricing.
Don't know much about mustangs if they have mounting points for Lap/sash belts in the early models.. cause really thats all you need untill you go sub 11.00 as far as I know.
-
Bas...if your going through so much to put the 418 in before this track day,... a set of lap sash belts should be a feather on the back of a freight train!
Luvhev

BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE ( ALL 56 ENTRANTS) THAT ATTENDED, CONGRATULATIONS TO A GREAT DAY,WITHOUT YOU GUYS AND GALS (YES A FEW GALS OUT DONE THE HUSBANDS DRIVING YEEHAA) THE DAY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN AS SPECIAL.
BIG THANK YOU TO THE OFFICIAL MEDIA COVERAGE NATHAN WELLINGTON FROM AUSTRALIAN MUSTANG AND FORD, EVERYONE APPRECIATED THE GOODIES BAGS AND MAGAZINES........LOOKING FORWARD TO THE UPCOMING FEATURES ETC
http://www.ausmustangandford.com.au/
THANKS to John Henman and other track officials for a GREAT venue and making any hiccupps disapear with ease.
There really is too many standout moments for me to mention but I have to say watching the "fire car" (GAS455)as my son's called it do BIG burnouts with instant smoke (one of the young ladies showing her husband how it is done ) Fox (being a TRUE gentleman and sportsman) by racing Block 3 times, EVERYTIME with a grin from ear to ear and smoke a plenty, Stefan taking out his newly resto XYGT and although not going near his expectations (I have started planning one for nearly next year, so you can try again for your mid 12), punished it non the less, and how can we ignore BIG GEORGE - LEGEND giving the near stock nat asp XR6( bar HITECH cat back exhaust ) a good thrash at a PB 14.8 ( may have gone quicker), RC in the mighty XAGS taking on Block and beating him, well atleast the first of three runs...keep an eye on this cause I expect it only to get better, Ante punishing the Rhino to a backing off 10.9, the Mustang boys SHOWING ALL you can GO HARD as well as look DARN PRETTY,the 2 Torrie Hatches, and RAT427 Camaro, REALLY the quality of ALL the cars racing was second to non....KIDS, WIVES, GRAND PARENTS EVERYWHERE...
Like I said waaaay to much to list I could go on and on.
Thanks again the day was thoroughly enjoyable, Garrett
ps: Luke great to finally put a face to the voice :fantastic:, Hev the legend ran 12.9 best

Hi Greg,
In all my years of drag racing I learned a few good tricks to throw off your opponent, one of which is referred to as ' sandbagging'.
Please enlighten me, how does your technique of 'handbagging, work ?
Looks like the boys and girls had a fun day. Great times to match.
Cheers Terry
-
Greg did an 11.2? I don't think so... I think whoever wrote this may have have a very bright red right hand. Muzzy 66 didn't your old man ever tell you if you kept playing with it, it would fall off :rol:
-
"I think whoever wrote this may have have a very bright red right had."
I've read this 10 times and I still don't know what it means.
-
It's pretty straightforward, if pull the ol' pud too much your hand gets chaffed and goes bright red... *apparently*
-
I didn't know what a bright red "had" was.
-
I'm not sure what a bright red had is either... Was past my bed time, :bats:
-
Couple of my runs on the day on my 205/70/14's. Car felt flat all day & the fuel pump sh1t itself on the way home. Explains the crappy mph...
