Title: Saturday DEC 10th All American Muscle car day
Post by: joe74ta on December 04, 2011, 09:12:34 PM: All American Muscle car day at Wakefield Park Goulburn meeting at Pheasants Nest servo 7 am leaving at 7.15 am this should be an exciting day out with Show & Shine drags cruise the track, racing Hill climb & hot laps.

Lap/ sash seat belt
long cotton shirt/t-shirt and long pants (no Nylon!)
Fire extinguisher
approved helmet
.................and toilet paper just in case!!!!!

Its quite a safe track with plenty of grass runoff if you spin out but theres a wall on the straight! And you only go as hard as you want to. Dont get pushed into going fast if you dont want to (from people like me!)

Woooohooo what a fun day, all I can say is you missed a great day those that didnt attend! Because there wasn't to many cars turned up so I could do as many laps and drags as I liked! I won the 1/8th mile drags (only 3 cars in it but had about 20 goes!) BUT the 2 other cars were no slouches 1 was a hotrod with a big blower, 2 was a 'nos'd up modified mustang!

Then I won the fasted lap! against about 8 cars (got a big trophy...SORRY!)
Then we won another big trophy for best club display!

all the track events were $80 for the day which was awesome cause I did about 50 laps! and wasted plenty of rubber....oh and plenty of petrol.

Post by: Gene on December 13, 2011, 02:34:30 PM: Well worth attending....great venue - we were parked in the long sheds with concrete floors probably 100 metre walk to the track - its very well run with all the safety crews etc that you require for that type of event and the focus by the event co ordinators is on everyone attending having a good day.

Thanks for the praise our 66GT, Janne got in the thick of it track side and they let me up in the tower to get the height shots.

As I understand next years is going to be held on the 8th December and we are looking forward to it already.
