I just read the flyer car owners $5 which I don't have a problem with, but if you were raising money for some charity wouldn't you want to try & collect money from the public as well, example gold coin donation or raffles  maybe the organizers should look into it to raise more money on the day. Just my thoughts.

Hi Garry,
             The organisers of this event do have people walking around with buckets looking for donations from the public, way too hard to try and collect as they turn up as it's a very open area and impossible to police. They generally do quite well on the day.

The Eastern Suburbs guys I assume will meet at the BP.

Leaving at that time should be ok as it gives you an hour to get to the next meeting place at Ambulance station. I will get there a bit earlier and have something to eat......depending on weather.
