Picked up my new toy/project earlier this week. A 66 Chevelle tube chassis drag car. Car is a roller, needs engine & transmission to complete. It will be going off to the chassis builder next week for some wheelie bars and/or an anti roll bar. Found the VIN tag last night while stripping out the wiring harness. It is a 138 vin which makes it a factory SS big block car. Hoping to have it finished for next years nostalgia drags series.

Would also like to say a very big thank you to Yvette & Mick for helping me with the shipping. Yvette arranged the trucking from Amarillo Texas to LA and helped me with the import approval (which was much more difficult than I imagined).  She kept me informed every step of the way with emails, phone calls, text messages & photos.  Awesome job, very professional.
Not sure what Mick actually did   (just kidding)

Heres some pics to check out.

More than 12 months on & we finally got it all together just before Christmas. Pretty happy with our first outing, we had a problem with the throttle not opening past 3/4 & also the rear tyres were not the best.

Heres a quick video of first 2 full passes.          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpQ_oGkugcc

With new tyres, full throttle, the rev limiters turned up & a bit more seat time we hope to make some improvements next time out.
