1977 Transam

Hi guys. I went and got my Taillights on the Transam changed to amber indicators with David at minto. They turned out good but they still need a divider between the indicator and the brake light. Each time the indicator comes on the light flows into the rest of the Taillight. Anyone have any ideas of what I can use please.

......I am very suprised that David at Minto did not think of that. Not very professional in my opinion.
Should be simple fix if you can separate the lens from it's housing.
Just get a piece of thin alloy sheet that's easy to cut and cut a piece that follows the contour of the housing and with some clear Silastic glue it in place.
If you are not sure what i am talking about just look inside a tail light of a common Camry or any model with long combination lights and you will see.
If no luck bring your tail lights to me and i will fix'em up for you.

Cheers, Chris.

Thats correct. Most converted tail lamps you'll find have a piece of sheet metal cut to size and fitted to block the indicator or brake lights from lighting the wrong part.
Easy to make....my last 77 T/A had thin sheet gal steel pieces fitted.

hi guys. I used some aluminium cut to size and siliconed. Seems to be doing the trick. Thanks for the advice.
