I want to buy some old BUT NEW never used or mounted tyres from the US...If a tire was built in 1993 and stored in a dry garage, how safe are they? I have heard about older tyres being dangerous but if they've never been used and are in perfect condition, what do you reckon?
I want the tyres because nobody makes this particular size anymore! and they are a very good price! 175us for the 2 tyres compared with a slightly smaller width for new tyres at about $800oz each!

Andy just BUY them if they are too hard or no GOOD you could do what i normaly do with old NEW tyres just SMOKE THEM UP:drink: thanks for the photos its a MACHINE:bow:

Mick said that the tires would probably of hardend and therefore if so they would be a handful in the wet!

You can chuck them in our container $30 each + your customs gst charge (around $24). What ever you do make sure there clean of webs, water, dirt etc otherwise you will have a quarantine bill worth more than the tires.

I had a set of 275 Bridgestone poetinzas that was date stamped 1998 and they where brand new when I got em on the cheap..... not worth a pinch  of Shyte they where rock hard and like glass on the road , no grip and hard drive as well! stick clear of them would be my 2 cents worth...

If they are to hard, I'll just use them for burnouts!
